This policy describes how Bunyan Flow ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data — whether you're a visitor to our website, a user of our property management platform, or a tenant or other third party whose data one of our customers enters into the platform.

What data we collect

From the "Request early access" form on our website: full name, company or property name (optional), phone number, email address, number of units you manage (optional), and any message you send us.

When you use the Bunyan Flow platform (once you become a customer): user account data (name, email, role), and the data you or your team enter about properties, tenants, contracts, payments, and expenses — which may include personal information about your own tenants, including scanned identity documents if you choose to upload them.

We currently use no tracking, analytics, or advertising tools on our website — we do not set any cookies for marketing or analytics purposes.

How we use your data

• To follow up on the early-access request you submitted.
• To operate the property management platform and provide support to our customers.
• To secure your account and your platform data (e.g. the audit log of every action).
• To improve the product based on your feedback.

We do not sell your data to any third party, and we do not use it for advertising.

Data sharing

We do not share your data with outside parties except as necessary to run our service — such as our hosting provider. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising tools.

Data storage and security

• Your data is stored on dedicated servers, and all traffic is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
• Passwords are hashed — nobody, including our own team, can view them as plain text.
• Every action on your platform data (create, update, delete) is recorded in an internal audit log.
• The database is backed up on a regular schedule.

That said, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Data retention

We keep early-access request data until we've followed up with you or until you ask us to delete it. Data for customers actively subscribed to the platform is kept for as long as you use the service, and for a reasonable period afterward where needed for legal or accounting purposes, unless you request earlier deletion.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete your data by emailing us at the address below. We'll respond as soon as we can.

Children's privacy

Our services are directed at businesses and adults who manage real estate, not at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our services evolve. We'll post any material change on this page along with its update date.
